To Members: Our eighth annual club Picnic will be held Saturday August 16, 2008 with the rain date Sunday August 17, 2008. Joan and Ron Liska, your officers and many volunteers, some not even club members, devote a great deal of time to make this event a success. Help is urgently needed for set-up at 8:00 AM, flight line supervision, fueling supervisor, maintenance workers, parking lot supervisor, cooks, 50/50 raffle sellers, door prize supervisor and end of the event clean up crews. If you can help me out with any of these tasks please let me know. Please feel free to bring your favorite dish, appetizer, or dessert to share with all those attending. This year I am asking all club members to look around their building area for an item old or new that they are not using and would be willing to donate to our club raffle. Your junk may be another persons treasure! You may also bring items to sell at this event, however it is understood that the security of these items is your responsibility. Once again, I will invite our flying field neighbors and their families to this event. Remember, this picnic is free only for current club members and their immediate family. However, if you would like to bring a guest the cost is $25.00. Please let me know in advance. If the weather looks bad on Saturday, you can call my voice mail at 203-687-8979 for an updated recording. If it is called off for Saturday, it will be on rain or shine Sunday August 17, 2008 There is a Limited number of tickets available for our P-40 Club Auction. Check the home page of our web site for more information. As many of you know I am in the process of moving and therefore my Internet access will be limited and my current home phone number will be disconnected. If you must contact me please use my cell phone number (203-687-8979) The Advisory Board will meet at 9:00 AM the day of our picnic. If you have any items that you would like presented please send your concerns to me or one of the board members. You are required to wear your club ID badge when using our flying field. This alerts Winding Brook personal that you belong there and also will save you a $75.00 fine for trespassing. Remember, to fuel your plane, in or out, in the designated areas.
